Where is Jschool?
Jschool is based in an inner city building in Brisbane close to key news sources including Parliament House, law courts and Brisbane City Council, as well as media organisations including Australian Associated Press. Jschool's Brisbane base is Qantm House, at 138 Albert Street, two minutes' walk from Queen Street Mall.
Jschool is handy to inner-city facilities including shops, cafes, cinemas and an abundance of pubs!
Much teaching also takes place "in the field" — in newspaper offices, at courts, in Parliament House's Media Gallery, at the city council and at news conferences all over the city and beyond.
Internship training takes place at newspapers and other media from Cairns in the north to Hobart in the south and west to Perth, giving students the opportunity to broaden their understanding of other Australian regions.
